Subsea Completions Engineer - Major Operator is seeking several sharp, experienced subsea completions engineers. Previous experience with offshore completions is a plus as is an understanding of flow modeling and the familiarity with the design and selection of all downhole related equipment. B.S. Engineering with 8+ yrs. experience required.

Riser Team Lead - Houston based Engineering Consulting Firm is seeking an experienced Riser Engineer to join their growing Houston operation. Requirements include a solid background in the engineering and analysis of various riser systems including TTRs, SCRs, rigid, flexible etc. for numerous floating applications such as SPARS, FPSOs, TLPS and Semi-Submersibles.

Writing a great technical resume for oil and gas is easier than you think! In addition to the basics like full contact information at the top of the first page and a chronological order, below are a few advanced tips to keep in mind: 

• keep the resume to 2 pages, expand the margins if you need more room
• start with a brief summary but omit writing an objective 
• list project names and specific details such as scope of work, project responsibility equipment/structures involved and project accomplishments. Remember, project name association is very important to those who are reading the resume
• be sure to also list the technical challenges, how those were overcome and how those lessons learned were communicated internally and with the customer/project partners 
• list all education, training and society affiliations
• maintain a conservative resume style and avoid fancy formats and fonts
• remember to update your resume at least once per year to remind yourself of your achievements and to keep your career progress in perspective!
